GUANAJUATO
Sunset from the Basillica in Guanajuato.
Pigeons enjoy architecture too.
Takin' a break.
Beautiful Guanajuato. This is what Guanajuato looks like everywhere...built on the hillsides and colorful.
This is my route to Casa Bertha, my hostel/hotel...37 steps total.
This town is built on top of underground tunnels. I kept thinking about how Junior would love this place. He's a video game nut and Guanajuato is a little bit like Grand Theft Auto come to life.

This is Jardin de la Union...the main plaza; most touristy and most expensive. Very happening with tons of music and people. I have no idea how they trim the top of these trees though. (Look for them in a photo below.)
Traveling musicians.
More tunnels.

Really beautiful touches like gardenias make this city very charming.
Typical street in Guanajuato.

Here's the tops of those trees in the Jardin de la Union. Seriously how do they trim those?!
View of Guanajuato from monument El Pipila.
Guanajuato.
I swear that's a cactus growning on the top of that church near the cross. How'd it get there?!
Lots of narrow walkways.
Another little cute plaza. They're everywhere. This town is really pedestrian friendly.
Beautiful churches.
More quaint walkways.
Gorgeous, huh?

The roof-top terrace at Casa Bertha. Was great to have coffee here in the morning, read in the afternoon or watch the sunset.
Guanajuato sky.
