On top of the world in Guatape!
This post is gonna be a little disjointed...I apologize. I'm so far behind in posting photos, it's tough to keep everything in a nice order. But, it's all a fun ride and I hope you enjoy the photos. Guatape is a small little town south (I think) of Medellin. It is a nice little weekend escape for those that live in the busy city of Medellin. As you look at the fotos, I'm sure you'll see why. Johnny, Andy and I went out for the day and just had a wonderful, relaxing time.

Center square from a nearby hotel rooftop. Beautiful, huh?

This is one THE reason tourists come to Guatape...La Piedra de Penol. There's over 720 stairs to climb all the way to top. However...you're rewarded with a staggering 360ยบ view once you've reached the top.

A friendly dog we met at La Piedra.
He's actually enjoying the massage, although it looks like Andy's killin' him.Loads of beauty in Guatape.

NIGHTLIFE IN MEDELLIN
Me, Martin, and John from Utah. I spoke quite a bit to Martin this night while we were all hanging out drinking beers. He's 13 and he sells gum on the streets. He also had another friend with him, Edwin who is 11. He sells cigarettes. At first I thought they were hanging out working the streets together, you know, since they have different products to sell...but at one point, Edwin whispers to Martin and then walks off. Well, I was pretty sure what was up, but wanted to hear if from Martin himself. So, I asked him...where's Edwin going? Martin, said he had to go make some money. It's so crazy to think about their life and all it entails.
